Wooden Chairs in Interior Design
Explore timber grain, chair form and maintenance together to create a balanced interior.

The design perspective
A wooden chair communicates through more than its colour. Grain direction, surface sheen, the curve of its back and the visibility of its joints all contribute to its character. Pale timber can bring lightness to a quiet dining area; darker wood may create a deliberate focal point against a light wall. Matching every wooden surface exactly is not essential. Related undertones can connect different pieces without making the room feel like a catalogue set.
In everyday use
Visual harmony does not establish suitability for intensive use. For a hospitality project, examine the construction, finish and maintenance instructions separately. Try armrests under the actual table, check sitting comfort and look at the feet that protect the floor. Simple upholstery can allow the timber to remain expressive. Follow the manufacturer’s cleaning guidance rather than assuming that one product is appropriate for every wooden surface. A good choice combines visible texture with practical care.
